First we have our monthly Tuesday Night Wine Dinner
We also have our "Wine of the Month"
And we are quite excited to be hosting the reception for an Evening with Alison Eastwood!
On we go....
It is time, once again, for our Tuesday Night Wine Dinner. We are quite pleased to announce that we will be joined by Steve Beckmen of Beckmen Vineyards from the Santa Ynez Valley. This is one of our favorite wines at Melange because they are very well crafted, fun to drink and pair nicely with many foods. The wine dinner will take place on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at 6:30pm. Yes indeed--that's this coming Tuesday. No need to make other plans--Come to Melange, have some nice wine and food and say "hi" to Steve :-)
The menu and the chosen wines are shaping up to look like this:
1) Sauvignon Blanc 2006
Cauliflower soup with baked Vermont Cheddar cheese top
2) Le Bec Blanc 2005
Prince Edward Island Mussels sautéed with accents of tarragon, orange and sherry
3) Grenache 2006
Spicy Tuna tataki tower with shiso accents
4) Cuvee Le Bec (blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre and Counoise) 2006
Escargot in a puff pastry cup (vol au vent) with North African spices and fresh herbs
5) Estate Syrah 2006
Elk Striploin with huckleberry sauce, crispy pomme anne and butternut squash
The date of the dinner is Tuesday April 15th
The time of the dinner is 6:30 pm
The price is $95.00 all inclusive (food, wine, tax, gratuity)

We are also excited to announce our Wine of the Month for April is The Domaine Alfred "Cahmisal Vineyard" Syrah 2003. This is a very well balanced, food friendly, not overly extracted syrah. The price for this jewel is only $27.00 a bottle. We think that you will find it difficult to find a better wine at a better price. It is being offered by the bottle, glass or 2oz taste so-----Come give it a taste!!
And coming up on Sunday May 4th, we are honored to be chosen to host the "after show reception" for the presentation by the Monterey County Film Commission of "An Evening with Alison Eastwood" This is a salute to her film directorial debut of "Rails&Ties" starring Kevin Bacon and Marcia Gay Harden. This is also a preview of the re-opening of the Lighthouse Cinema!!! What a nice night for Pacific Grove :-)
